Vallejo police responded to three armed robberies in the space of 13 hours Wednesday and early Thursday morning, an officer said.

In the first one, an 18-year-old Vallejo man was standing outside a marijuana dispensary at Sonoma Boulveard and York Street about 11 a.m. Wednesday when two young men approached him, Sgt. Jeff Bassett said.

One brandished a handgun and demanded his property, Bassett said. The 18-year-old told them he didn't have anything, ran towards Georgia Street and then heard three or four gun shots ring out. No one was hurt, Bassett said.

The suspects are described as 18-year-old black men. The man holding the gun is described as being 5-feet tall, weighing about 110 pounds and dressed in blue jeans and a white hooded sweatshirt.

The other is slightly taller, weighing 120 pounds and wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Later on Wednesday, a 19-year-old Vallejo man was walking north on Broadway about 11:25 p.m. when several other pedestrians approached him, showed him a handgun and forced him into the former Wal-Mart parking lot, Bassett said.

The group tried to go through the man's pockets. There was a struggle and one suspect struck the victim in the head with the gun, Bassett said. They took his backpack and ran away, he said.

The victim had a small cut to the back of his head. The suspect holding the gun is described as a 22-year-old black man, 6-feet tall, 180 pounds with dreadlocks. He was wearing a black sweater.

The second suspect is described as a 20-year-old black man, 5-feet, 10-inches tall and about 170 pounds who was wearing a grey and black striped sweater and ball cap.

Finally at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, a lone gunman entered a liquor store in the 300 block of Tennessee Street, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash, Bassett said.

The gunman reportedly cut in front of a line of customers to confront the clerk who complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

No one was hurt, Bassett said.
